2025 Jeep Gladiator vs 2024 Gladiator

The Jeep Gladiator is a vehicle that's unlike anything else on the market. It's a pickup that's built with Jeep Wrangler off-road capabilities and it also has a 5.5-foot bed in the back where you can pack plenty of cargo. The Gladiator lets you remove the top and the doors so you can get maximum exposure to the elements. Jeep hasn't announced the release date for the 2025 Gladiator but you can reserve one right now by contacting us. Meanwhile, here's how it will be different from the 2024 Gladiators that we have right now at Don Miller Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Fiat in Madison, WI.

How the 2025 Gladiator differs from the 2024 version

The manual transmission that was an available option on the 2024 Gladiator has been discontinued so the eight-speed automatic is the only available choice. Power locks and power windows are now standard on the base trim and Jeep will be offering two new exterior paint colors. A new Active Cabin Ventilation system will be made available so you can pre-heat or cool the interior of the 2025 Gladiator with a mobile app.

Comparing the engine and performance

Every 2025 Jeep Gladiator will be equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that generates 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, which is the same as the 2024 model. The Gladiator for 2025 no longer offfers a standard six-speed manual transmission so the eight-speed automatic that was optional in 2024 is now standard for 2025. Just like the 2024 model, the 2025 Gladiator has 19.4 more inches between the front and rear wheels than the Wrangler, and that helps improve ride and handling. Available off-road equipment is the same for both 2024 and 2025, with protective skid plates, rock-crawling axle ratios and water-fording capability of up to 30 inches.

Towing, payload, speed and fuel efficiency

The maximum towing capacity for both the 2025 and 2024 Jeep Gladiator pickup is an impressive 7700 pounds when these vehicles are equipped with the available Max Tow package. Otherwise, the Gladiator can tow 4000 pounds for both 2024 and 2025, which is 500 pounds more than the Wrangler. The cargo bed can hold up to 1725 pounds and both model years can reach 60 mph in 7.2 seconds. Fuel economy in 2024 with the manual transmission was 16 MPG in the city and 23 MPG on the highway. But without the manual in 2024, the eight-speed automatic for both 2024 and 2025 Gladiator pickups deliver an estimated 17 MPG in the city and 22 MPG on the highway.

Interior highlights

Inside, the 2024 and 2025 Gladiator trucks both come with the same kind of upright dashboard as the Wrangler. Both come with a unique waterproof push-button start system, something you need in a rugged off-road vehicle. Available features include heated front seats and the longer wheelbase gives passengers more legroom in the back seat than the Wrangler. The Gladiator for both 2024 and 2025 gives you multiple places to store a smartphone and there's another storage compartment located the back seats.

Technology

The 2024 and 2025 Jeep Gladiator pickups both have a large 12.3-inch center touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone compatibility comes standard feature and you can upgrade the stereo for 2024 and 2025 with an optional subwoofer and a portable wireless speaker.
